The house

Practical nonfiction, kept specific.

Marlin & Quill LLC is an independent publisher. We would rather stand behind a few books that are exact than a shelf of books that are almost right.

The name is the standard. A marlin does not strike at random, and a quill is only useful when the sentence is clear. Our books are instruction: for a person, a machine, and a life that already exists.

On artificial intelligence

Trevor Soren

Guides for readers who want ChatGPT and other assistants to be useful at home and at work. Large print for seniors. A planner for holidays. A masterclass in prompting. None of them are written for the technology industry.

On the kitchen

Reid Lund

Cookbooks for a named appliance or a named appetite. Miele steam ovens, with the mode on the dial. Yoder smokers, YS480 and YS640. High-protein meals sized for GLP-1. Portland, and precise.

This site shows who we publish and why each book exists. Each author also keeps a site of their own, with updates, templates, and extra material for readers. For questions about rights, publicity, or a particular book, use the contact page. The full list of titles is in the catalog.
