Reid Lund
Culinary consultant and technical writer
Reid Lund writes cookbooks for the kitchen a person actually owns. After years in professional kitchens in Chicago and the Pacific Northwest, he turned to the gap between high-end appliances and the way people cook at home.
The Miele books began with a stack of metric manuals and the suspicion that most owners were using a fraction of the oven. He spent two years turning those modes — AutoRoast through Menu Cooking — into a Fahrenheit system, and tested more than 120 recipes against the interface. The same idea runs through the Yoder book and the GLP-1 book: name the constraint, then write to it.
